Stuart Pearce Appointed to Work with England National Team

England U 21 coach, Stuart Pearce, has been appointed as a backroom stuff of England’s senior team. He will also remain the coach of England U21. The 45 year old will be involved in planning of England team. He will start his newly found job from the England vs Switzerland match next week. Pearce has expressed his delight on the appointment which he has termed as a fantastic opportunity.

IC Wales reported:

He will be involved in planning ahead of all senior games and sit with the rest of the coaching staff in the England dugout, starting at Wembley against Switzerland next Wednesday.

“It will be a fantastic opportunity and a great education for me,” said Pearce.

England vs Switzerland match will be held at the Wembley Stadium on 6 February. With this match, England is going to regain their confidence lost though their defeat to Croatia in the last match of EURO 2008 qualifying round, with what ended their EURO 2008 mission as they failed to win the ticket of EURO 2008. It is now clear that Stuart Pearce is going to start his additional job in a crucial situation.
